All my courses are hard, and then I have to worry about vet school on top of it...
augh...why cant my last semester just be easyyyyyy =(

I’ve been there.

Books piled up in a stack beside you. Nodding off to the glow of the computer screen. Neon strips of highlighter scraped across your forehead, leftover not from a raging highlighter party the night before but rather the all-nighter spent spooning Shakespeare term papers and mind-rattling interpretations of Samuel Beckett’s best works.

Some of you are halfway. Knees sunk deep in the muds of history power points and audio projects. Stammering in the mirror before you give that final speech in class tomorrow. Still muddling through the differences between el and usted. Nosotros & Vosotros.

Some of you are stocking up on caffeine fixes and 5-Hour Energy drinks before the storm hits. A storm of finals worth 60% of your grade. 12-pagers that will have you crawling into the light of the morning, turning your study guide into a white flag to wave and surrender.

You’ll make it.

I know it. I can promise that there are holiday lights at the end of your tunnel. Perhaps it won’t be the grace of a love letter but the grace you’ll gain from the sound of the last book shutting. The sound of the last pages shuffling out from the printer and into your professor’s mailbox.

Remember to breathe. To eat. To sleep, if you can. Curl up on the couch in the campus center if that’s what it takes. Listen to the Nutcracker while you sip a gingerbread latte that you so deserve. And, on the nights where 1am comes quicker than shoppers to Best Buy on Black Friday, be the one to text your friends, “Diner. 2am. I’ll drive.”

I still keep that memory.

Unearth it as I do the ornaments that get pulled down from the attic this time of year. Uncrumpling the newspaper surrounding that time that I didn’t know I’d ever miss. A stack of pancakes. An open laptop. Hot chocolate with whipped cream dribbling from the side. All of us laughing, not knowing at the time that yes, yes, we were going to miss it one day soon.

It’s hard to believe right now as you struggle to swallow every prefix in the dictionary or every literary term you’ll need to dissect that Emily D. poem tomorrow. But the closeness of friends in one place, the justified seeing of the sun coming up before you close a book and allow in the hired sugarplums to dance as you pass out, the 24/7 sweatpants apparel for at least two weeks… you’ll miss it when it is gone.

So pick your chin up from the computer. Stand up and stretch. Take a break to call your friend and see how studying is going. If there is someone beside you, smile… propose a coffee break… treat them.

String up holiday lights in your dorm room lounge and claim that a study executed at 800 universities across the country proved that the ambiance of the teeny tiny bulbs increased final grades by a whopping 73% percent.

Ball up in a blanket and quote Elf from time to time when the room gets too quiet. A few go-to quotes: “Santa?! I know him!” “Bye Buddy, hope you find your dad…” “First we’ll make snow angels for a two hours, then we’ll go ice skating, then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookiedough as fast as we can, and then we’ll snuggle.” Take a Target break. Buy some holiday slippers for no good reason. Drive home the long way and just admire the lights for a moment or two.

Remember: It is a book. It is a test. It is a paper. That’s it. That’s all.

You’ll make it. Myself, this love letter, and anyone who has ever been there before…we are pulling for you.

Back to School

Duh...of course this entry is about back to school, what else would it be about... haha

Well it was a long day, will take some getting used to BUT
there are definitely some pluses

a) I can only have a max of 2 registrar sched'd finals INSANE this has never happened to me
b) my fine arts class is so ballin' and the prof is amazing
c) im actually interested in my computer class..cause im a nerd and want to impress my genius - computer inclined - brother
d) my geo class is cool cause i basically have two pro tutors (father and boyfriend)
e) my only two long days are mon/wed and tues/thurs/fri are like not even 2 hours long.
f) im graduating this year!

im looking on the bright side =)

It has been forever..

Pretty sure no one reads this shiat haha but It's been a while so my apologies. It has been a busy summer!

I thought it would be great to share the exciting news of my one year anni with TC!
It was a great day, he surprised me with a ring (just a ring), a homemade card, and flowers!
Then we went to lunch at our fav place Pulcinella!! Then he had chocolate covered strawberries, an i love you balloon, and a teddy bear delivered to my house!

He did very well, hes a closet romantic haha.


Anyways. I cant believe summer is over in a month and a half. It always goes by so fast, i hate it.
One more year of my undergraddddd ahhhh!

In a short month I will have completed my third year of university.
If all goes as planned I will graduate next year with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
Wow.

Great Weekend

Worked on Friday, some poopy people didnt tip me very much but always lots of fun with the girls at Calabro

Saturday went to robskis and attempted to do hw (failed) then ate lots of delish food and hung out instead, it was AWESOME. She's a pro baker and made these whipped shortbread cookies. SO GOOD...i ate quite a few haha.

Then Sat night went to Juliets with ty and his friends to watch the fights (yipee lol...) then went out for some delish dessert at Earls. I was so tired though so just went home and pretty much straight to be, ty came over for a bit though.

Sunday breaky with ty, robski, ben and his sis Bre! We tried to got to Cora's but it was packed so we went to Cheesecake cafe instead and had there brunch which was really good! Then hung out and didnt do hw it was AWESOME haha

Love me some procrastination. this is about the last week I can afford to, then back to the grind for finals =(

It has been a while since I have posted something of substance. I apologize, although I'm prob writing this note to no one...no one prob even reads this lame blog haha. For those select few (aka drb cough cough) thank you for tuning in =) haha

I would like to start with a small yet significant music review:


I absolutely adore Taylor Swifts new CD. On my HOUR LONG drive to work (thats right folks, hour long - i live like 12 minutes from the university) this morning I rocked out HARD to "sparks fly" in my car. I mean, hard. People most likely thought i was absolutely nuts. I was drumming, tapping, hair flipping. It was glorious. That track is just one of many that I love. I love them all. I really appreciate the fact that she wrote each and every song on her own. Takes a lot of courage and bravery to put out something to the world that is all your own. And she did an amazing job. Love love love. Cant wait for the next in a year or two!

I suppose i should post a bit about school considering its the reason I havent posted in a while. I am FINALLY done midterms. It was a long and most painful process. For the most parts the results were good. Especially my kines courses, I raped those (all A's) =)! However, bio and ochem was another story. Bio was a large large disappointment and now I will have to work my ass off to do amazing in the labs and final so i can bring that back up. Ochem was somewhat of a surprise, and good one, cause I did quite well for ochem, considering the average is usually low 50's. Only got the m/c back though so we will have to see writtennnn. and thats as much as i want to talk about schoool, cause its lame haha

Going absolutely amazing. Not much to report. Amazing trip to banff, absolutelyyy perfectoo! I have fallen madly in love with an amazing boy, and I truly cant imagine life with out him right now, and wonder how I got along in the past with out him.

I am going to mexico for Christmas break with the FAMMMM
and since its with the fam and not on a poor students salary I am privledged enough to be going to a gorgeous 5 star resort - the Iberostar Pariso Lindo in Mayan Riveraaaa I am very exciteddddd - a) I really need a break from school, like now, but it will have to wait b) I need a tan im pasty as fuckkk c) i cant wait for free food/drinks alll day long - uh oh i should prob lose like 10 pounds in prep, or just play a shit ton of beach vball and do water aerobics everyday while im there (like i usually do hehe)

Crazy school work, had like 2 labs due and two huge midterms. It was intense
I really hope I do okay on everything, one of the midterms was worth 50%!!!
So gayy, the whole course if 50% midterm and 50% final, what a lazy ass
teacherrr!

I also had to miss the WB screening of HEREAFTERR, with Matt Damon =(
poooop!!!!

School is taking all of my time, and I have no time for everything else I wanna be doing, like working out, playing guitarr, writing music. This biggest detriment is not seeing ty enough =(

Thinking and praying for Hayden Bell! hmmm what else.... Ive recently obtained a reoccuring obsession with Disney moviesss, i bought Beauty and the Beast and it was just amazinggg so good!
I just wanna watch all of themmm!
I wish they didnt come out of the vault for only a short portion of timeee! Like I went to buy Lion King the other day and they didnt have it =( i think its back in the vault =(

OMG alsoooooo the TSWIZZLEEE CD comes out OCTOBER 25

i just love animals

lately I have really been thinking about my choice to attempt (attempt being the key word) to get into vet school. the prereqs are turning out to be really difficult, and extremely stressful, and I believe they are not really even a good indication of what real vet school will be like. But then I see a picture like this, or a picture of an adorable dog,cat or horse, or something, and it just makes me realize they are one of my true loves in life. and i would be cheating myself if i didnt atleast try to get into vet school. i feel like we need more vets in the world. more good ones. and the reason i want to be one is i feel we need a good advocate for these voiceless creatures. i would be helping both the animals physically, and their owners emotionally. its a true blend of helping all the write things/people/situations. i believe it would be a truly rewarding profession, as well as one that will probably be very tough to handle sometime. well, either way, if its meant to be I hope I can become a vet some day. if not i dont know whats in the cards for me. but i hope its goodd!!!!!

Last night me and a bunch of friends went to see the town

I really really liked it. It was pretty intense and I thought really well done
Ben Affleck did a great job, and I really cant picture anyone else doing that
part, especially since hes from Boston and near that area and everything.
I think you should definitely either go to this movie or rent it.
I think its one that probably be better in the theaters though because there are
lots of action scences, guns etc!
This is a good "take your boyfriend" movie, because he wont complain =)
p.s. i dont know why the font is so big, i tried changing it and it wont let me lol

I dont know about you alllll out there, but i am NOT ready to start school.
Just no.
hahahah. summer went by wayyyyy to fast and i dont need that stress.
it gives me pimples and makes me bitchy. who wants that?
not me. I hope this semester goes okay with ochem and all....

Also, starting school means I defs wont get to see him as much as I want.

- finally got a car. love love love. 2009 yaris sedan. very practical and simple. yet cute and peppy. has some good power cause its so light. and shall be excellent on gas which lisa's wallet is very happy about!
- just got back from my five day mexico trip with some AWESOME peeps. was unreal and very needed. and god damn i love being tanned. trip was well worth the 600 dollaroonies =)
- third. cant believe summer is coming to and end. this is balls. i dont want school. ewwww
- fourth. this UNREAL boyfriend of mine got justin nozuka ticketsssssss. dont know if you guys listen to this genius. but if you dont you better freaking start cause hes unreal. hes coming to the den and i could not be more excited. when i got home ty had flowers in hand and an envelope. open the envelope to find rose petals and two tickets to the concert. what a guy. falling farther and farther every time i see that boy <3 its disgusting really haha
